While going through the mourning process after his father's sudden death, Darrel Roberts finds himself in possession of a rare book from the fifteenth century thanks to a lead given him by his "uncle" Tony. It is the kind of book his father had always wished for. Darrel has no clue that it is no accident the book ended up in his hands. Unbeknownst to him both his father and "uncle" belong to the mysterious "Order Of the Iron Dragon," a secret society bent on getting their hands on "The Book Of Keos" since it's inception. Darrel becomes the pawn in a game of chess that pits The Order of the Iron Dragon and the dark being Serrata, Queen of the Shadow Realm, against the madman known only as Louiss for possession of the book. For "The Book of Keos" holds the secret to a gateway to Heaven, and all it's treasure, and Darrel may be the only person who can properly translate the ancient tome.

  Darrel has no place to turn for advice, or does he, in the beautiful reporter he ran into at the strange book auction. Is she who she says she is, or is her secret datker than that of his own father's.
