Submission Guidelines

House of Horror New Guidelines

Below are the new guidelines set out for the different submissions areas of House of Horror. We have a lot going on here for the E-zine so we would gratefully appreciate these guidelines being followed as closely as possible which in turn makes our job as editors so much easier.

First things first. A few things to remember before submitting ANYTHING to any of our editors.

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE PASTED INTO THE BODY OF AN EMAIL PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE SENT YOUR SUBMISSION TO THE CORRECT EDITOR SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS ARE OK. MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS ARE NOT! PLEASE SEND JUST ONE SUBMISSION PER EMAIL. THIS GOES FOR YOU POETS TOO! REPRINTS OLDER THAN 6 MONTHS WILL BE CONSIDERED NO GORE FOR GORES SAKE, NO CHILD ABUSE, IF IN DOUBT PLEASE SEND A QUERY FIRST. PLEASE INDICATE ITALICS WITH ** BEFORE AND AFTER THE TEXT. I ASK FOR THIS BECAUSE TRANSFERRING TEXT INTO THE WEBSITE LOSES ALL UNDERLINES, BOLDNESS ET AND STARS ARE THE ONLY SURE WAY TO SEEK OUT THE ITALICS IN A STORY ONCE TRANSFERRED. TEXT SHOULD BE SINGLE SPACED WITH NO INDENTATIONS AND A HARD RETURN AFTER EACH PARAGRAPH. PLEASE INDICATE SCENE BREAKS WITH A SIMPLE * * *
